Imagine Play Wooden Coins- Bright 24’s
R220.00Imagine Play Wooden Coins- Bright 24’s
R220.00Currency is the way of the world and there’s no getting away from the fact that your little one(s) will have to learn the value of money and currency if they are to survive the real world.
Our little Ava is now in grade 1 and as is customary at this age, she’s now learning about rands and cents. It’s a difficult concept for a 7 year old to grasp; so much so that she was in tears about it when doing her homework. Whilst this level of learning is necessary it still needs to be fun and so we turned to our production guru, Tim, and asked him to create our first set of Coins.
The beauty of our Coins is that they can also be used in other maths exercises, such as doubling and halving, sharing and counting. Their open-ended nature also allows kiddies to use them in freeplay and construction when building castles, villages, small worlds or virtually any scene they can imagine.

Imagine Play Wooden Rainbow- Large
R950.00Imagine Play Wooden Rainbow- Large
R950.00The small natural rainbow has been designed with toddlers as well as slightly older children in mind.
At roughly 8 months old kiddies begin to develop the ability to think symbolically and as a result they start to use objects, actions and ideas to mimic other objects, actions and ideas through pretend play. Take the central, solid bow of our small rainbow for example – it can be held in a tiny hand and pushed around the floor as a car. Watch your little one hold one of the outer bows up to their ear and have a telephone conversation with Mom or Dad. Or give your child 2 sticks and allow them to drum away on the bows merrily (noise warning). This behaviour shows your child’s understanding of the world around them and allows them to explore with a toy that will nourish their senses and connect them to nature. There is no limit to what the toy can mimic, and it promotes open-ended play.
